The company Opera Software released on 1 September, Opera 10, the latest version of the only European browser.

Opera 10, which beat market for third place with Apple Safari and Google Chrome, has redrawn interface, higher speed of loading pages, tabbed as a thumbnail and new functions. One of these, called Turbo, so that computers with a weak connection to the Internet to upload web pages eight times faster than rival browsers.

“Opera 10 is the most stable web browser”, said company representatives.

Opera is the most used browser in Russia and Ukraine, and the version for mobile devices is the most widespread in the world. 10 Opera browser is free now.

Asus company will launch by the end of the year an e-book reader that will change the market for such devices, having two screens and the lowest price in the market, according to the publication “London Times”.

Taiwans from Asus are all closer to launch first e-book reader company, and every day appear more and more details on the Eee Reader.

Unlike e-book readers now available on the market, the device that Asus will launch will have  two screens that will be linked together, like a book. Thus, users can read e-books as a normal card and via touch-sensitive screens could give as simple page. Also, the device will enable the user to read on a screen, while the other browse or can use one screen as a keyboard, turning the device into the laptop.

Eee Reader will have a color screen (not monochrome, as existing) and will be equipped with speakers, a webcam and a microphone for Skype, the device can be used to make calls on the net.

Taiwanese company Asus has a reputation as the manufacturer of the cheapest gadgets in the market and the new device will not make exception. The Eee estimates that Reader will cost around 160 dollars.

With the new terminal the users will be able to synchronize the phone with  computer and will also be able to  edit documents quickly and effectively with Microsoft Office Mobile.

XPERIA X2 includes SlideView option, so users will have quick access to most frequently used options of the phone: contacts list, messaging, media access, description of activities outstanding (unread e-mails, missed calls, sms the unanswered).

The phone will be equipped with 14 panels already installed and another 16 available for download. In this way, users can customize the phone’s user interface to access applications like Skype, Google, CNN, Windows Live or YouTube.

“The mobile phone has become an essential accessory of us, and XPERIA X2 is for users, an extension office,” said Summit Malhotra, Marketing Business Manager Sony Ericsson.

XPERIA X2 is a type screen with a resolution of 3.2 inch touchscreen, 8.1 megapixel camera and 110 MB of internal memory expandable with a card up to 16GB.

Finnish giant Nokia is planning to offer a bunch of new products this year because of increased competition from rivals, but analysts believe they face a tough fight to hold the world leading position in mobile field.

To counter Apple iPhone and RIM Blackberry, Nokia announced it will launch a PC laptop, three new smartphones with touch screens, notebooks, and will ally with Microsoft to use the Office software on its phones.

Industry observers have criticized the giant Finnish phone that does not bring smartphones to market fast enough and also  for old products.

Its latest smartphone, N97, had poor sales so far compared with the iPhone.

Gartner estimates that worldwide sales were only 500,000 since its launch in June. Apple’s new third-generation iPhone sold one million units in first weekend of sales.

Nokia needs new models for success – such as smartphones -phones with high speed internet access, are the fastest growing mobile phone market segment.
In addition to partnering with Microsoft, Sony will use also Linux software and work with social networking site Facebook to develop new services.

 

 

BlackBerry Storm prepares successors to 9500. This is Storm2 9520 and comes with more news, including WiFi and an improved design. Liverpool has just launched a mobile phone for luxury, special edition dedicated to a rich history of the club, which will cost quite enough to transform the handset in to a exclusive product.

Nokia announced a new terminal, different from previous terminals. Not necessarily different at design, but at software. Nokia N900 is a side-slider with QWERTY keypad and touchscreen which is based Maemo operating system Freemantle.

Nokia N900 is built almost like the N97. The main difference between the two devices is sliding mechanism which tilts the N900 screen is not, as happens in N97. Instead, the camera is identical.

Beyond the technical features, the most interesting aspect to be pursued is the operating system, Maemo Freemantle. According to the Mobile Review, it is different from what took Nokia so far. It is not  100% compatible with old applications.

Nokia N900 will be released in the last quarter of the year. Price without taxes, would be 550 euros.

Symantec has issued a report comprising data provided OnlineFamily.Norton service, which reveals that during the first 10 terms searched on the Internet children are the words “sex” and “porn”.
 
OnlineFamily.Norton is a service that offers parents the opportunity to control and monitor online activity of children.

On top are seemingly innocuous terms such as Youtube, Google and Facebook, but instead found four “sex” followed by “MySpace” and “porn”.

Service OnlineFamily.Norton of Symantec has registered Yahoo, ranked 7 and 8 Michael Jackson, followed by Fred, rank 9(fictional character who has a Youtube channel) and eBay, 10. Positions below have been found, obviously, and searches of specific anatomical parts.
